Growing up in a family of farmers and successful entrepreneurs in Iowa taught David the value of hard work and launched his interest in the hospitality industry.
David came to Colorado in 1996 to attend the Colorado Institute of Arts, where he graduated top of his class in the Culinary Department. Now, with over 30 years of restaurant experience in both front and back of house, he has worked, owned and consulted for many F&B establishments, including 16 years with Secret Sauce (Vesta, Steuben’s Uptown & ACE). David joined Sanborn & Co. to help others achieve their industry goals.
David was the founding President of Eat Denver from February 2007-January 2009, he sat on committees that pioneered two of their biggest annual events, The Big Eat and Harvest Week.
